White Mam With Black Liver
The Liver is a blood purifier.
It was thought at one time it was
the seat of the passions. The
trouble with most people is that
their Liver becomes black because
of impurities in the blood due to
bad physical states, causing Bili-

gets relief. People who take Dr.
King’s New Discovery for an
irritating Cold are optimists—they
know this cough remedy will
penetrate the linings of the throat,
kill the germs, and open the way
for nature to act. You can’t de-

ment—you must go to the cause
of the trouble. Be an optimist.

State normals to Texas passed
finally in the senate after a lively
fight in which an effort was
made to strike out the enacting

support of the bill, which locates

The final days of the Goliad
schools see the pupils working
hard and preparing for the finals
which begin next week. While
several have dropped out of the
tenth grade, the attendance has
held up remarkably well and
this has been a most pleasant
and successful term. The sum-
mer plans of all the teachers are
not yet known, but some will no
doubt attend normals. Under
our present efficient corps of
teachers our schools have grown
and prospered and with the big
appropriations for next year we
may expect big things.

Some Forms of Rheumatism
Curable
Rheumatism is a disease charac-
terized by pain in the joints and
in the muscles. The most com-
mon forms are: Acute and
Chronic Rheumatis, Rheumatic
Headaches, Scatic Rheumatism
and Lumbago. All of these types
can be helped absolutely by ap-
plying some good liniment that
penetrates. An application of
Sloan's Liniment two or three
times a day to the affected part
will give instant relief. Sloan’s
Liniment is good for pain, and
especially Rheumatic Pain, be-
cause it penetrates to the seat of
the trouble, soothes the afflicted
part and draws the pain. “Sloan’s
Linment is all medicine.” Get a
25c. bottle now. Keep it handy
in case of emergercy.

We claim that Mr. G. E. Mathis
holds the local record for fuel
consumption of automobiles, he
having made 19 miles on a half
gallon of gasoline in his Ford
one day last week. The roads
were in fine shape of course and
all other cpnditions were favor-
able, but nevertheless he was
getting the maximum mileage
out of the minimun amount of
fuel. Mr. W. M. Seeligson
and Will Lutenbacher are the
record holders however when it
comes to going through impossi-
ble places and over impossible
roads. In the new Seeljgson
delivery car, a Ford, Mr. Seel-
igson last week went places that
to a heavy car would have been
out of the question, as he went
through water high enough to
come up over the running boards
of the car and Mr. Lutenbacher,
also driving a Ford, fears no
mud hole in the county. No,
this is not paid advertising fcr
the Ford. It is merely a state-
ment • of facts as they were re-
lated to us and while we admit it
speaks well for the little traveler
and sounds like advertising, we
are glad to publish these things
as they are certainly out of the
ordinary and deserving of men-
