Since there did not seem to
be a physiological cause for
these, Mrs X was referred by
her family physician to the local
MH-MR Center where she talk-

an initial interview with the
receptionist for statistical infor-

There followed a series of

had almost disappeared and
were greatly reduced in sever-

sharing the responsibility of the
finances and both were finding

if this problem had continued
and Mrs. X and her husband
had not sought help it may have
led to greater family disruption
or to Mrs. X's further with-

very mild problems which the
individual solves without assist-

disrupt his way of life to the
severe illness and loss of con-

If a person suffers from a
physical illness or receives an
injury in an accident and is
in pain, immediate medical at-
tention is sought.
Thus, a broken bone is set
as soon as possible so that the
pain, the possibility of crippling,
or other undesireable effects
are greatly minimized
The community MH-HR cen-
ter promotes early diagnosis
and care to relieve the pain of
emotional problems and to mini-
nize the crippling effects asso-
ciated with long term illnesses.
