Three towers of spacious, fully-furished apartments

and an attractive shopping mall Only three Blor ks
from the campus, Hardin North is the only complete
Austin apartment for University girls
and temporary football
bleachers were installed. Dur-

work, some 80,000 spectators
watched as the giant painting
neared completion.

dedication, Thompson is also
possessed of a keen sense of
humor. When his signs read-
ing “Quiet Please" failed to
accomplish their purpose, he
turned them around, and on
the reverse was boldly let-

The artist labored in the
huge steel shed for nearly

phonic sound surrounds the
viewer, with music composed
and conducted by Ralph Car-

The painting is still on dis-
play in the same building
where it was created, at the
corner of Boedeker and Park

changed in character, how-
ever. The temporary' bleach-
ers have been replaced by
comfortably upholstered scats
in an open-theatre ty pe of set-
ting so that no observer is
more than 50 feet from the
painting. The floors are softly
carpeted; the walls are dis-
creetly painted in subdued
colors. Ciant air conditioners
