pany recently announced the appoint-
ment of David Hudson as division
manager in its Northern Division.
Hudson, whose appointment was ef-
fective Febreuary 28, replaces Bobby
Burchfield, who retired.
Hudson began his career with the
Company in his home town of Bogata
in 1952. His most recent assignment
was as Area Manager in the Compan’s
Perryton area office. He also held
positions with the Company in
Nocona and Talco. He interrupted
his service with the Company to serve
at the concession stand and at local
businesses. First Place will be $ 150;
2nd place, $75; 3rd $25.
at the Deport American Legion Build-
ing. Adults and children over 6 years
old will pay $3 for chili, stew and all
the trimmings. Children under six
years of age will eat free.
At 7:30 p.m. that same night a big
auction will kick off at the Deport
Fire Station next to the Legion Hall.
The auction will have items from
baked goods to farm equipment and
lots of items in between. Special
homemade fried pies will be featured
as well as a number ofother items.
The Saturday schedule of events is
as follows:

things rolling. It's worth a trip just to
see the showmanship these people
come up with, and purchasing a tast-
ing cup in the afternoon to sample
their concoctions is worthwhile too.

those in the past.
Local cooks are urged to enter the

with TNP. In Perryton, he was a mem-
ber of the Rotary Club and served on

He and his wife, Fredrika, have
three children and two grandchildren.

Mexico divisions. The Northern Di-
vision is headquartered in Lewisville.
