LONDON (UPI)—Two men
will be married to Janet Cowl-
ing at St. James Church here
Saturday. But the bridegrooms,
Peter Fountain and Michael

By coincidence, Janet Cowl-

never met, picked the sane

years But the use of these
poisons has created an altogeth-
er new public health problem.
This modern innovation has its
potential hazards just as do
automobiles, electricity and
airplanes. A particular problem
with insecticides and pesticides,
however, is their poisonous
nature.
In every case of human death
from pesticides, the cause has
been accidental misuse of a
chemical poison.
As a cardinal rule, be sure
you read the label each time
you use a pesticide. Then follow
the directions exactly and store
the container away from the
reach of curious children.
Always wash your hands
thoroughly after using these ’
chemical poisons and before
you eat, drink or smoke.
When you are through with a
container, dispose of it in such
a manner that children. pets or
other wildlife will not be harm-
ed unknowingly.
When you use pesticides,-
work in a well-ventilated area
to avoid inhalation of fumes.
And never spray into the wind.
Pesticides can serve you well.,
protect you fran.disease carry-

shrubs and many other things.
But you-must use, these poisons
wisely if they are to serve
you well. '
