3 SECTION 2. Section 51.961(a), Education Code, as added by
4 Chapter 1317, Acts of the 77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001,
5 is amended to read as follows:
6 (a) Information related to the location, purchase price, or
7 sale price of real property purchased or sold by or for an
8 institution of higher education, as defined by Section 61.003, is
9 confidential and exempt from disclosure under Chapter 552,
10 Government Code, until a deed [fc-rma a.ard f sea cntr Mct] for the
11 [p]urchana o cl o f ]th property is executed. Information that is
12 confidential and exempted from disclosure under this subsection
13 includes an appraisal, completed report, evaluation, investigation
14 conducted for the purpose of locating or determining the purchase
15 or sale price of the property, or any report prepared in
16 anticipation of purchasing or selling real property.
17 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
18 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
19 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
20 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
21 Act takes effect September 1, 2003.2
