Money on Land.
It takes from ten to ninety
days to get a loan closed up
on land. You first sign an
application for the amount
you want. Your land is then
inspected to see if it will stand
as much as you have applied
for If the inspector thinks
the land good for as much as
you have applied for he
grants the loan. The next
step is to make an abstract
showing your title. The ab-
stract is examined by a law-
yer. If he finds the ti’tle good
a deed of trust and notes ar
written for you to sign. The
deed of trust is then recorded
and abstracted. Then the
deed of trust, the notes and
the abstract are attached to a
draft at the bank and you
draw on the loan company for
your money. When the draft-
is presented to the loan com-
pany they pay it off and the
money comes back to your
local bank for you.
Now, you can see that all of
this takes time. If you want
a loan don’t put it ’off until
the last minute. If you are
going to need some money
between now and next January
begin now to get it. We can
make you a new loan, extend
your old one, or take up your
notes and extend them for
from five to ten years. You
can borrow from forty to fifty
per cent of what your land is
worth. The rate of interest
depends, on the amount of
money you borrow. Large-
loans at eight per cent and
small ones nine and ten per
cent per annum. We do most
of our own inspecting, which
saves from one week to thirty
days in getting a loan
through. We charge you twen-
ty-five dollars if we get a
loan through for you and noth-
ing if we Ri l to get it.
If you are buying or selling
land and need an abstract
title let us make it for you.
I ou will find the price for the
work reasonable. We also
write deeds and take acknowl-
edgments and have a complete
set of abstracts to every foot
of land in Wise county.'
Our office is in the basement
of Jbe court house.
