Tuesday Melissa Harmon of
the play school, entertained the
graduates with an after-rehear-
sal party at the school play
ground. Her mother, Mrs. Larry
Harmon, her grandmother, Mrs.
Kenneth Brice and an aunt, Mrs.
B. O. Taylor and her little sis-
ter, Peyton, were her guests.
She served cool punch and a
party plate of assorted cookies.
On Friday Gay Edgette, who
is visiting with his grandmother,
Mrs. Malverne Glover, from Bel-
lefontaine, Ohio, entertained the
graduates of the Addie Maye Glo-
ver Kindergarten with an ice
cream party, followed by a play
period at City Park. He has
attended the play school- wtiile
on his visit.
The graduation motif was car-
ried out in covers for the serv-
ing tables, and in napkins,
plates and other party features.
Dainty sandwiches and other
finger foods were served follow-
ing the swim. The two honorees
were presented graduation gifts

uation from Texas Tech with a
degree in dairy industry. He is
a Tech member of Saddle Tramps
and a member of the Dairy In-
dustry Club.

elect with a rehearsal luncheon
at the Hickory Inn in Lubbock
on Saturday. Approximately 18

Longino on the Cooper Highway on
Tuesday morning for the annual
Flower Show and Spring Lun-
cheon.
Tri-color Hogarth curve was
won by Mrs. Buell Berry; blue
ribbon miniature, Mrs. Joe Wil-
liamson, blue ribbon semi-minia-
ture, Mrs. Kearney Brim and blue
ribbon mass arrangement, Mrs.
Jack Ramey.
Mrs. Sam Swindell, president,
thanked the hostess, Mrs. Lon-
gino and expressed appreciation
to the judges, Mrs. Bruce Mel-
son and Mrs. A. A. Grimes, and
welcomed a guest, Mrs. James

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church
in Dallas was setting for the May
24 wedding of Miss Donna Harris
and Thomas Herbert Costello.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John H. Harris, Jr.,
of 530 Connally Street. Mr. and
Mrs. M. G. Costello of 9518
Biscayne in Dallas are parents
of the bridegroom.
Father Judge of St. Bernard’s
officiated.
The bride was given in marri-
age by her father. She chose a
formal gown of peau with em-
broidered French lace. The bod-
ice featured arm-length bell
shaped sleeves of lace. The gown
was o f straight line which
flounced to the back and lay on
the floor. The train was Em-
pire style and a hill Camelot
length of embroidered French
lace. Her veil of tulle and em-
broidered French lace, was
trimmed with white satin roses.
She carried yellow mums and
yellow roses.

church bells in her honor.

dock presided at the bride’s cake
and the punch bowl. Miss Re-
becca Cauley registered guests
in the bride’s book.
For their wedding trip to Gal-
veston the bride chose an aqua
one<>iece dress with white acces-
sories.
They are at home in Dallas.

W. W. Samuel! High School in
Dallas and attended Southern
Methixllst University.
Her husband is a graduate of
Bryan Adams High School. He
attended Stephen F. Austin Col-
lege and North Texas State Uni-
versity, and served a tour of
duty in the U. S. Navy.
The First Baptist Church of
Wolfforth was scene of the wed-
ding Saturday of Miss Tonda
.Nell Curry and Jerry Lynn Spen-
cer. Parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Curry of
Wolfforth and Mr. and Mrs. Has-
kell Spencer of Sulphur Springs.
The Rev. Glen Reddell, pastor
of the church, read the 3 p.m.
double-ring ceremony after tra-
ditional wedding music by Miss
D’Nan Hobgood, organist, of Wolf-
forth.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
a formal-length gown of white
silk organza fashioned with a
shallow scoop neckline and el-
bow-length sleeves edged in peau
d’ange lace crested with seed
pearls. Motifs of lace encircled
the empire bodice and were
sprinkled down the front of the
A-line skirt. A detachable bouf-
fant chapel length train had lace
motifs at the lower edge trimmed
with seed pearls.
A forward caplet of lace petals
edged in pearls and crystal beads
held a veil of imported silk il-
lusion. The bride’s flowers were
a traditional cascade of
denias and stephanotis.
Mrs. Robert Warren of Lub-
bock attended the bride as matron
of honor. She wore a formal
gown of goldsakie, fashioned with
bateau neckline and tiered bell
sleeves. A narrow bias fold en-
circled the empire bodice with
bow and streamers to the hem-
line in back of the A-line skirt.
Her headpiece was a matching
double Dior bow with veil of
imported silk illusion. She car-
ried a cascade of gold glamel-
lias with avacado green stream-
ers.
Paul Trull, Jr., of Commerce
attended the bridegroom as best
man and ushers were Randell
Curry, brother of the bride of
Wolfforth, and Jack Reames of
Lancaster.
A reception was held in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace
Durham in Wolfforth immediate-
ly following the ceremony.
Miss Cathy Spencer of Sul-
phur Springs, sister of the bride-
groom, registered guests in the
bride’s book.
After a wedding trip to the
Gulf Coast and New Orleans the
couple will be at home at Apart-
ment 66, Varsity Village, Lub-
bock.
The bride was graduated from
the Frenship High School in 1964
and will be a June graduate
of Texas Technological College
with a Bachelor of Science de-
gree in general home economics.
Mr. Spencer, a graduate of
semblies of God College in Wax-
ahachie and San Antonio College.
She is the granddaughter of J.
B. Crump of Pine Forest and a
niece of James R. Crump and
Mrs. J. W. Adams of Sulphur
Springs.
Her fiance is a ministerial
student at SAGC in Waxahachie.
The wedding will be June 7
at the First Assembly of God
Church in Seguin.

Peoples National Bank.
In addition to the hostesses,
twenty members and a guest,
Mrs. Janies S. Johnson, played
four rounds of bridge. Mrs. John-
son was high scorer, Mrs. Tally
Bell, second, and Mrs. Charles
Waldrup, third. Mrs. Bernard
Lobin was winner ot the bingo
gatin'.
Cakes, cookies and coffee were
served throughout the evening.

The Mothers Culture Club held
its spring social and installation
of officers on May 16. A deli-
cious dinner was served at Sel-
lers Cafeteria.
Following dinner the members
and guests were invited to the
Sulphur Springs State Bank com-
munity room where the installa-
tion was held.
The new officers lighted pink
and blue candles and read the
duties of her office. After all
candles were lighted each offi-
cer was presented a long
stemmed pink rose, the club
flower.
New officers are Mrs. Claude
Reynolds, president; Mrs. Bill
Farler, vice president; Mrs. Bob
Cody, secretary; Mrs. Hal Ro-
mack, treasurer; Mrs. Billy Dan
Lindley, reporter; Mrs. Danny
Dickens, parliamentarian; Mrs.
Don Nuft. historian.
Outgoing officers are Mrs.
Max G. Latham, president; Mrs.
Johnny Motes, vice president;
Mrs. A.E. Moore, Jr., secretary;
Mrs. Wade Fowler, treasurer;
Mrs. Houston Connally, parlia-
mentarian; Mrs. Bill Farler, his-
torian and Mrs. Pat West, repor-
ter.
Mrs. Latham recognized the
float committee and special
thanks was given to them for
winning first place in the [Fairy
Festival Parade. Float commit-
tee was Mmes. Houston Connally,
Tim Kelty and Jim Tucker, co-
chairmen and Mmes. William
Sidebottom, Morris Bolton and
Billy [Fan Lindley. Mrs. W.B.
Baker, Jr., and Mrs. Tommie

a gift from the club for an out-
stnading job as president.
Mrs. Reynolds read the com-
mittees for the new club year.
Games of bingo were enjoyed
later in the evening.
