The Como-Pickton chapter of
Young Farmers held its regular
monthly meeting Monday night in
the high school building.
Coy Johnson, Sulphur Springs at-
torney, spoke to the Young Far-
mers and their wives about the
necessity of having a will. He
pointed out the important facts
pertaining to young couple’s with
minor children and some of the
problems which arise where
there is no will.
Johnson also spoke about the dif-
ferent types of contracts ami the
need for caution and counsel be-
fore signing documents.
The importance of liability insur-
ance was also brought out. He
explained Texas laws and penal-
ties and said that compete lia-
bility coverage was inexpensive
and that it was foolish to be with-
out it.
He impressed upon the group
their duty as citizens to be will-
ing to serve aS jurors. Tim Law
is just as strong as those who up-
hold it, he said.
Johnson spoke of civil disobed-
ience and iliscord in the United
States today, riots and the up-
ward swing of the crime rate.
In conclusion he said "We need
to instill in our children respect
for parents asnd respect for the
law. The law is the foundation of
our nation and is necessary for
the hope of the future, peace,free-
dom and happiness.”
