HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1 WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature is proud to honor Mary Preston 2 on being selected as an Outstanding Teacher for 2002-2003 by the 3 Fort Worth Independent School District; and 4 WHEREAS, A teacher at Christene C. Moss Elementary School, 5 this noteworthy individual was honored at the school district's 6 Outstanding Teacher recognition dinner on February 12, 2003, at the 7 Round Up Inn; and 8 WHEREAS, All of the exemplary educators chosen to be honored 9 were selected by their peers for their unparalleled commitment and 10 dedication to students; and 11 WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious 12 resource, and a quality education is vital for our young people to 13 become successful adults; Mary Preston has demonstrated the drive 14 and determination that we expect from our teachers and is truly 15 deserving of this honor; now, therefore, be it 16 RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas 17 hereby congratulate Mary Preston for being named an Outstanding 18 Teacher for 2002-2003 by the Fort Worth Independent School District 19 and commend her superior service to the children of Texas; and, be 20 it further 21 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 22 prepared for this esteemed individual as an expression of high 23 regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
