map, a contract, handmade
tools, furniture, clothing, etc.,
will you please let me know
by card or phone. The fair

get everything ready; is not an
easy task, unless everyone,
helps.

friends spent the Memorial
Day weekend South fit the Bor-
der. Harrison will leave short*
ly for his home in Alabama.
Next year, he will live inHon-
do, to be near the 3 schools—
Yancey, Natalia, D'Hanis-that
he will serve as. counselor. He
has been a resident of Castro-
ville at Landmark Inn for 6

ranch; Louis jungman, .born
Feb. 24, 1864, at the ranch;
Emil F. Jungman, born Sept.
15.' 1865, at the ranch; Peter
Jungman Jr., born Feb. 5,
1869, at Castroville; Frank X.
jungman, born Dec. 18,1871,
at Castroville;' Jacob Jung-
man, born Dec. 10, 1874, at
Castroville (died in infancy);
Mary. Annie Jungman Sauter,
born Nov. 26, 1876, at Cas-
troville; Fred W. Jungman Sr.,
born Dec. 31, 1878, at Castro-
troville; Seraphin A. Jungman,
born Feb. 15, 1882, at Castro-
ville;and Alex E. Jungman
Sr., born July 29, 1887, at
Castroville, Alex. Jungman Sr.

Relatives of Peter and Mary
Jungman have set the date for
their annual reunion picnic—
Sunday, June 11-to be held at
Keller'S Park, Devine.
Peter Jungman was born
May 25, 1836, at Open, Prus-
sia, Germany. His parents
were John Peter Jungman of
Hillsveller, Prussia, Germany,
and Annie catherina jungman
Jungman. His mother’s name
also was Jungman, but she
was no kin to her husband.
The young Peter also had 2
sisters, Annie and Mary, who
lived in Germany.
Pejer arrived in the U. S. at
Galveston in 1852,; He made
the trip on a sailing ship with
his mother. The trip took 104
days on the high seas. After
landing in Galveston, they
transferred to another ship and
landed at Port Lavaca in Jan-
uary, 185 2. From Port Lavaca,
they came to Castroville.
Mary Jungman was born on
July 26, 1841, in Bourbach, .
Alsace, Loraine. She came to
Texas with her parents, Jo-
seph Meyer and Catherina
Koas, who were from Bour-
bach, lsace. They landed at
Indianola in March, 1845, and
came to Castroville by ox cart.

Miss Lucie E. Wallace was
a patient at a Kerrville hos-
pital. However, she has shown
improvement, and has returned
to the Wooten residence in
junction.

3 visitors from the Institute of
Texas Culture, with headquar-

the Texas pavilion, one of the
permanent buildings of Hemis-
Fair. /

visitor, explained he might be-
called the advance man to ex-
plain the part Castroville can
play in the pro J ect. It is
stressed that the pavilion is
not a museum. There will be
enlarged photographs of arti-
cles of historical interest, not
the articles themselves. It is
hoped that material will be
found to show the heritage of
Texas from all countries that
have contributed to its de-
