been examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained

This contract, made and entered into on this the 30 day of April 1940, by and between
Chester Ward and Barnes & McCullough, of Leander, Texas, Witnesseth:
That Said Chester Ward desiring to make improvements on the land hereinafter described,
said Barnes & McCullough, agrees and binds itself to furnish to said Chester Ward lumber &
materials used in construction of 12‘x14‘ House to the amount in value of One Hundred Ten
and no/100 Dollars, to be used in the construction of said improvements upon the following
described land in Travis County, Texas•
Located on the tract of one acre of land bought from A. F. Moeckel by C. A. Ward. 1 ,
Located near the rlroad of Four Point on the Austin and Marshall Ford Dam, Road.
Said undertaking on the part of said Barnes & McCullough to be completed on or before
the 13th day of May 1940; in consideration of said agreement and undertaking upon the
Part of said Barnes & McCullough, the said Chester Ward hereby agree to promise to and bind
be her act and deed, and declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes
and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it.
