I’d like to introduce to the
community one at a time the
new teachers who will join
Star School this fall. The
teacher for this week is not
really new to many of us as
she and her husband are
both graduates of Star High
School.
Virginia McCasland will
teach Kindergarten through
Grade Two. She is the wife of
Elroy McCasland and the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Sherwood Owens. Virginia
has taught for several years
in the Grand Prairie school.
She is working on her
masters degree this summer.
The McCaslands have four
children, three of which are
married and the fourth is
teaching in Grand Prairie.

Mr. Harpers children were
there and a number of
grandchildren and great
grandchildren — which was
a total of 64 present. They
had a nice warm day of
visiting, eating and playing
dominoes.
