DRILL NO. 1 RUBENSTINE
Seneca Resources Inc. of Hous-
ton has filed for a permit to drill
the No. 1 Rubenstien well. The lo-
cation is 1 mile north of Clay on
the Henry Koontz Survey A-164 in
Burleson County.
The permit is for a 12,000 ft.
horizontal well.
Fishing Report
SOMERVILLE: Water clear,
normal level; black bass are slow
due to lack of fishermen; white
bass are very good with some
large fish to 16 inches on the
hump, near the parks and near
the dam; hybrids are fair near
Worth has completed the No. 1
William Ryan well. The well is 11
miles southeast of Caldwell in
Burleson County.
In a test well pumped 111 bar-
rels ofoil, 371 barrels of water and
269 mcf gas.
The well was drilled a total of
12,353 feet.
GEMINI COMPLETES
NO. 1 DUNGAN WELL
Gemini Exploration has com-
pleted the No. 1 Dungan well. The
well is located 2 miles northeast of
Giddings in Lee County.
In a production test the well pro-
duced 485 barrels of oil and 365
mcf gas while on pump.
The well was drilled a total of
9,806 feet.

Frank Lindner, 76, of Bastrop
were scheduled to be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday, April 13,1994 at
Phillips & Luckey Chapel in
Giddings with Rev. Rodger
Osborn officiating with burial fol-
lowing in the Ridgeway Cemetery
near Paige.
Mr. Lindner died Monday, April
11, in the Smithville Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1917 in
Paige, the son of Albert and
Myrtle (Clark) Lindner.
Mr. Lindner was disabled and
after the death of his parents, he
lived with Buddy and Lois Clark
of Bastrop.
After the death of Buddy, David
continued to live in the Clark's
residence until his death on Mon-
day.
Survivors include an uncle
Vernon McPhaul, and numerous
cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Elmer
Phears, 88, of Dime Box were held
at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11 at the
First Baptist Church in Giddings
with Rev. John Culwell officiating.
Burial followed in the St. Johns
Lutheran Cemetery in Dime Box.
Mr. Phears died suddenly early
Saturday morning, April 9 at his
home in Dime Box.
Henry Elmer Phears was born
on September 24,1905 to William
and Callie Dement Phears in
Dime Box.
Mr. Phears grew up in the Dime
Box area and he married Ella
Gunter on January 4, .1935.
Shortly after their marriage,
Elmer and his wife lived in Hous-
ton before returning to Dime Box.
Mrs. Phears preceded Elmer in
death on January 2, 1973.
Mr. Phears was a tailor/outfitter
in the civil service. He also was an
avid gardener, served as a volun-
teer at local nursing homes, and
was a deacon at the First Baptist
Church in Giddings.
He is survived by his daughter
and son-in-law, Sharon and Dou-
glas Biehle of Dime Box; a grand-
daughter, Terrisia Garbs of Aus-
tin; a grandson, Mark and Cindy
Biehle of Dime Box; great grand
daughter, Tiffany Garbs of Austin;
brother, Maurice Phears of Hunts-
ville.
Mr. Phears was preceded in
death by his parents, wife, and 11
brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Lucille
Miller, 89, of San Antonio were
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12,
1994 at Phillips & Luckey Chapel
in Giddings with Bro. John
Karcher officiating. Burial was in
the Giddings City Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller died Sunday, April
10 at Metropolitan Humana Hos-
pital in San Antonio.
She was born December 16,1904
in Giddings, the daughter of
George E. and Mollie (Hillsmann)
Kelly.
She married Thomas Heye
Miller on April 17,1930 and was a
homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter,
Mollie Miller of San Antonio, and
one sister, Lois Toler of Gidding. .
She was preceded in death by
her parents and husband.
