1. McMurry holds that her chief function is the development of CHRISTIAN
CHARACTER with sound scholarship, recognizing the validity of all
Christian faiths.
2. McMurry is fully ACCREDITED with the Southern Association of Col-
leges and Secondary Schools, the Association of Texas Colleges, and the
Texas Education Agency.
3. McMurry offers OPPORTUNITIES for superior training in many branches
of the liberal arts leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science,
Bachelor of Business Administration, and Master of Education degrees.
McMurry's School of Business Administration includes an Oil Institute
which provides evening classes in five phases of the petroleum industry.
In addition, McMurry has an excellent program of pre-professional train-
ing in medicine, law, dentistry, journalism, engineering, scientific research,
business, teaching and the ministry.
4. McMurry College is rich in STUDENT ACTIVITIES with some forty student
