Police investigate
auto theft case
Giddings Police investigated
an unauthorized use of a mo-
tor vehicle case which alleg-
edly occurred last Thursday
about noon.
Jose Antonio Flores, who
lives at 497 West Austin,
called home to check on his
family and learned that a
1991 Ford Aerostar owned by
his family had been stolen.
He called police to report the
incident. The family told in-
vestigating officers Sam
Rodriguez and Lee Ward that
a black woman holding a
small infant came to the front
door asking for Maria
Hernandez. The woman was
told that Hernandez did not
live there and the woman left.

licensed pilot, and he and his wife Joye enjoy water skiing and snow
skiing.
Snowdy began his hanking career at the Corpus Christi National Bank,
the largest hank in Corpus Christi, and served as Executive Vice Presi-
dent and Cashier of Abilene National Bank from 1975 1 • 1984, the larg-
est Bank in Abilene boasting $500 million in assets. Most recently, Gerald
has been executive Vice President and Cashier of Nueces National Bank
in Corpus Christi until its recent sale to First National Bank Group Inc.
of Edinburg, Texas.
Gerald will be responsible for all of First National Bank's operational
departments including data processing, teller operations, and customer
service. He is the bank's Y2K officer and is the head of compliance as
well. First National Bank is the only locally owned bank in Giddings
and will celebrate its 110th anniversary in the year 2000.
"My family and I are very excited about joining the First National
Bank family and becoming involved in the Lee County community,’
Snowdy said.
