All interested parties are invited to attend a public hearing THURSDAY, JUNE 17,1999 begin-
ning at 7:00 p. m. in the City Hall Council Chambers of The City of The Colony City Hall, 5151
North Colony Blvd., conducted by The Colony Community Development Corporation (4B)
regarding the expenditure 4B sales taxes in the amount of $37,850 by entering into a consul-
tant contract with Brinkley Sargent Architects for the following:
•Various methods of soliciting public input
* Review of city information
‘Updating the Park Master Plan to comply with Texas Parks and Wildlife
-Incorporating shoreline study into Master Plan
-Revise priority list of park projects
-Develop trail system and incorporation into Master Plan
-Review proposed upgrades to existing facilities and modify as necessary
-Co-ordinate approval process
‘Preliminary programming and budgets for a community center complex
-Preparation of budget, based on the areas provided in the facility
(Potential elements of the center include library, recreation center, and
community meeting rooms, ball fields, aquatic and other city components.
The budget will include building cost, furnishings and equipment,
architect/engineer fees, and all site costs)
-Review of possible Community Center Complex sites and rank them based
upon their appropriateness
-Preparation of a preliminary opinion on the operational and maintenance cost
of the proposed Community Center Complex. Prepare a forward-looking
preliminary estimate of possible revenues of the Community Center Complex.
‘Prepare an audit of aquatic facility and determine market viability of new or improved
aquatic center.
In addition, comments will be invited regarding the Community Development Corporation (4B)
expenditure of 4B sales taxes in the amount of $100,000 for the furnishings and relocation of
the public library.

issues to resolve at current park facilities and estimation of costs for their correction.
