finalist in Collin County Community
College's recent annual Electronic
Design Competition at the Preston
Ridge Campus in Frisco.
Each team in the competition
designed, produced and “marketed"
to the contest judges a function gen-

on design, fabrication skills and doc-
umentation.

ROLFE
John Edwin Rolfe, 50, a man who will be missed immensely, passed away early Sunday morning,
June 6, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton. Mr. Rolfe was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on
June 17, 1948, to Walter and Betty Rolfe. He was married to Roberta Irene Hanisch on July 13, 1968.
He worked for Metamor Worldwide in Dallas, as vice president of the Millennium Services. He served
in the United States Air Force, and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a bach-
elor's of science in accounting.
He is survived by his parents, Walter and Betty Rolfe of Council Bluffs, Iowa; wife, Roberta "Bobbie"
Rolfe of The Colony; sons, Jeffery Michael Rolfe and Brian Matthew Rolfe, both of The Colony; daugh-
ter, Tracie Lynn Rolfe of The Colony; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Lynnell Rolfe; granddaughter, Amber
Lynne Rolfe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 1999. at Trinity Church in The Colony, officiated by
Pastor David Freehling, and followed by interment at Ridgeview Cemetery in Frisco. A visitation with
the family was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Cantrell Funeral Home in Frisco.
