Michelle Parker of Copper
Canyon Drive.
One resident told the council
Monday that she purchased a
house in the area after being
informed of only one potential
hotel at a greater distance than
now planned.
Smith pointed out that hotels
generate less traffic than many
other businesses, because hotel
visitors come and go fewer times.
Development Services director
Donna Bateman said that some
confusion about distances might
account for some concerns.
Council Member Joe McCourry
asked that the city provide KB
Homes with updated plans for
distribution to customes.
The council were receptive to
the details in the plan.
“Having spent a good number
of nights in Fairfield Inns, this is
a much better looking building
than I’ve seen in the past,” said
Council Member John Marshall.
