Food store, Lions
begin food drive
The 1991 Spirit of Christmas
Food Drive, sponsored jointly by the
Allen Brookshire’s Food Store and
Allen Lions Club, began Monday and
Averna graduates
from police institute
will continue through Dec. 21.
This food drive is an annual effort
to provide food for less fortunate
families at Christmas.
Anyone wishing to make dona-
tions to this food drive may leave
non-perishable food items in a con-

shire’s.
According to Mark Bradley, assis-
tant manager at Brookshire’s, an
Allen Elementary School will be also
