Vital statistic*, report for the month of January shows a total of
eight deaths in McCulloch County; however six of these occurred in
December but were not recorded until January, and the two deaths are
of record as having occurred in the past month. The records also show
23 new arrivals, 14 of the number being beys and 9 girls. Marriage
licenses continue to fall far below average of other years, only 10
having been issued. Real estate shows renewed activity, with many
changes in Brsdy realty and McCulloch county property.

Bridge Club.
Miss Evangel Tynes entertained
the bridge club on Wednesday
night with a delightful party.
Three tables were arranged for
games, and in the series played,
Mrs. Ernst Tetens won the prize
for high score, Miss Burda Brack
received the cut prize, and Miss
Ruby Curd the guest award.
Delicious refreshments of mold-
ed salad, sandwiches, olives, cakes,
hot tea and salted nuts were serv-
ed to the following members pres-
ent: Mesdames Ernst Tetens, Hen-
ry King, Earl Cantwell, A. S.
Meers, Hubert Adkins, Eric Swen-
son, and F. E. Garrett, and Misses
Nola Meers, Stella Traweek, Leta
