The value of this class extends
beyond our store walls.
We’ve told you about how we offer classes from time to
time to keep our employees and customers up on the latest
products and technology. Our last class, however, was one
of a different sort.
When staff member Roy Perez requested a class on first
aid, we thought that was such a good idea, we opened it up
to all corners. The result: 15 local folks are now certified in
fundamental first aid and CPR.
The class poses above with instructor Oscar Balderas,
in center, of the American Red Cross. We’d like to thank the
First Presbyterian Church of Mercedes for providing the
meeting place.
We’re taking registrations now for coming classes on
freon certification and air conditioning retrofitting — and if
there were enough interest, we’d be happy to sponsor
another session on first aid. Feel free to give us a call.
