4-11 CLUB MEETS
On May 10, 1963 the Imman-
uel 4-H Club met in the Fel-
lowship Hall at 2:00 p. m. The
vice-president Jonathon Socha
opened the meeting with the
4-H Pledge and Prayer. The
minutes were not read, because
the secretary was absent.
The 4-H officers for next
year were elected. The new of-
ficers are as follows: President,
Jonathon Socha: Vice-Presi-
dent, Michael Urban; Secretary-
Treasurer, Mary Ann Zschech;
Reporter, Shirley Becker.
The adult leaders for next
year are as follows: Organiza-
tion; John Socha; Livestock,
Louis Schatte; Crops, Ger-
hardt Proske; Tractor and Auto,
Leonard Symmank, Safety, G.
E. Weiser; Electric, Alfred Lo-
renz.

OLD SCHOOL BELL—This old school bell, dated in 1892,
has been stored on the roof of Giddings High School for a num-
ber of years. It used to hang on a 12-foot tower in front of
• the school. Before that, it was always rung at the old 6-room
: schoolhouse which stood where the gym now is located. The old

build a tower for the old bell on the school grounds east of the
