School Rooms Get
New Coats of Paint
Returning students this Septem-
ber noted a number of improve-
ments in the school plant.
During the summer five rooms
in the school building were given
fresh coats of paint.
The band room was also painted
and a petition built in the rooms
housing the athletic equipment.
The catwalk from the school
building to the gym was painted,
as were the porches, doors, base
boards, and the laboratory.
New gold curtains were placed in
the auditorium.
DONNA MITSCIIKE
NEW SECRETARY
Whenever the students enter the
office they are greeted by the
friendly smile of the new school
secretary, Mrs. Donna Mitschke.
This pleasant personality comes
to Giddings High School from
Houston, where she graduated
from Spring Branch High School
in 1957.
Donna says living in Giddings is
very different from living in a big
city, but it “grows on you.”
When asked for a comment about
her work, the school, and the stu-

learned many new things.”

a most hearty welcome to Donna,
and we hope she will continue to
enjoy her work.
