Many Looks Make Fall Evenings
LUTHER LEAGUE

NEW YORK-(NEA)-For
fall evenings the fashion
scene will be dashing, dar-
ing and opulent. These qual-
ities permeate every New
York fall collection.
It's back to Gloria Swan-
son's: heyday—with black,
• low neck and low back, por-
traying the true spirit of the
vamp.
Necklines that haven't 1
been seen for years make a 4
comeback — the sweetheart,
off-the-shoulder, o val and
deep-slashed surplice.
In fact, a Fall ‘69 evening,
scene could be slipped un-
noticed into a movie of the
late ‘20s or early ‘30s. F
The covered-up evening
look is another trend done ,
in Art Deco patterns, rich- "
brocades, lush beading and
quilting.
The costume look is the "
