JACK 0 DIAMONDS.
The opera house was again the
animated scene of many happy
faces last night to see the second
rendition of “Jack O Diamonds.
The troupe gave a good recital
of the same and those present
were fully repaid for the two hours
they spent there. Messrs. Spooner
Bessy and Keenan were in the lead
ing parts with Miss Allie Mrs
Spooner and the other members of
the comp my supporting them.
The play passed off splendidly.
The management will put on '‘A
Trial at Midnight" tonight for the
benefit of the Texarkana band and
as there are no counter attractions
in the city it is thought the opera
house will find its 800 seats occu
pied and the aisles full. We would
suggest to the management to
provide a lot of chairs to be used in
the aisles in case of a jamb Peo-
ple do not like to stand up to see a
play and if they go there they
should be seated and that com
fort;tbly.

A popular fur wrap for the mid-
winter season is the lb jane Cape a
garment pointed in the back short
on the shoulders and finished in tae
front by stole ends that reach to
the bottom of the dress. The en
tire cape is bordered with mink
tails and is lined with fancy bro
cade. A favorite winter skirt is
the Paquin nine gored modi 1 with
wide box pleat in front and very
flaring at the bottom. The rest of
the skirt is in narrow goers which (
are either plated or shirred accord-
ing the kind of fabric employed.
They are lined throughout and in- ■
terlined half their depth. For eve
ning gowns white satin is a favor- ]
ite fabric especially in the use of .
skirts. Wa'sts of every material '
from the daintiest tulle to velvet
are made in tucks all aronnd. The
sleeves which always droops are
ornamented with the same tucks.
Other fassiouable tissues for eve-
ning gowns are Brussels net Frence
faille in large boquet designs of
chine effect and satin striped flow-
ered moire. French toques are
again in vogue. Exquisite crea-
tions in jeweled embroidery flower-
ed velvet sable and lace etc. are
seen at the late openings. Dainty
adornments for the neck increases
in variety as the season advances
Historic collars yokes and ruches
are gracefully imitated in all the
novelties ot jeweled and spangled
frabrics fanciful ribbons velvets
and laces. Green gray blue and
brown are the prevailing colors in
cloth gowns though many He*
shades of plum violet and dahlia
appear in French weaves Th ■ lat-
ter shades are much used in milli-
nery as many of the recent impor
tation* of hats appear in these
combinations of violet and pansy.

Is it “ov rwork" that has filii
this country with n< rv ius dy p -
tics?- that takes the flesh oil thui:
bones the vitality from their blood
and makes them feeble emauc ated
and inefficient? No. It is bad cook
ing overeating of indigestible stuff
and other health destroying habits
The remedy is an artificially di-
gested food such as the Shaker
Digestive Cordial. Instead of irri-
tating the already inflamed stom-
ach the Cordial gives it a chance to
rest by nourishing the system itself
and digesting other food taken with
it. So flesh and strength return
Is not the idea rational? The Cor
dial is palatable and relieves imme-
diately. No money risked to decide
on its value. AlO cent trial bottle
does that.

His company is a well known and

capital of 150000Out). Here is a
chance for a poor man to get a
home for himself and farai y instead
of paying rent; a loan of 11000 costs
in class A only sl3 50 per month as
dues and interest and premium
making the cost of the loan only
about the average rent that a
shareholder would pay and at the
maturity of the shares the bor-

transient nature of the many phys-
ical ills which vanish before proper ef-

ease. but simply to a constipated condi-
tion of the system which the pleasant

remedy with millionsof families and is
everywhere esteemed so highly by all
who value good health. Its beneficial
effects are due to the fact that it is the
one remedy which promotes internal
cleanliness without debilitating the
organs on which it acts. It is therefore

ficial effects to note when you pur-
chase. that vou have the genuine arti-
cle which is manufactured by the Cali-
