Davee Reunion
Held In G'waite
May 18 and 19
The annual Davee Family
Reunion was Saturday and Sun-
day, May 18 and 19,1996 at the
American Legion Hall in Gold-
thwaite, Texas. Saturday after-
noon and night was spent visit-
ing, enjoying snacks, sand-
wiches, and the Music by Gene
Roberts, Jim and Gene Davee,
and George Spruell.
Monroe Spinks who usually
plays with the boys, had recently
fallen and is home recuperating
from a broken hip. He and Geor-
gia were greatly missed.
Visiting began early Sunday
around the Coffee Pot, then
many attended the church of
their choice, returning for a ,
beautiful and delicious meal pre-
pared by all concerned. Just prior
to the meal a short business
meeting produced the decision
to gather again on,May 17 and ,
18, 1997 at the Legion Hall in
Goldthwaite.
"Thanks" for the meal was said -
by George Spruell of Mesquite,
Texas. Lots of good food was
prepared and enjoyed by all.
Shortly after lunch the musi-
cians treated the group to some
more good music.
