This is to publicly notify ALL Star dog owners that they will be held
financially and legally responsible for damages caused by their roaming
dogs. These dogs, both large and small, are allowed to run loose, roam,
and chase livestock and wildlife. This occurs at night while the owners are
asleep.
Cattle are being mauled, killed, run through fences, and cattlemen are
not going to put up with this any longer.
Restrain (that means tie up) your dogs or be ready to have charges filed
on you and pay damages to all livestock owners.

Pug was an accomplished
seamstress, a wonderful cook
and a creative and talented
woman. She was a devoted
wife and mother, and a very
dedicated grandmother and
great grandmother. For a
time in the ’80s, she co-
owned and operated a small
cafe in Mullin, and people
were known to come for
miles just for a piece of her
fine pies.
Whatever Pug decided to
do, she accomplished with an
energy and passion. As Tom
said, her ladder didn’t have
a bottom rung. She was al-
ways reaching for the top.
She was a long-time and
dedicated member and
former president of the Mills
County Veterans of Foreign
Wars Auxiliary. She was a
member of the First United
Methodist Church of Mullin.
Besides her husband, Tom,
of San Saba, and their four
children; Pug is survived by
10 beloved grandchildren,
including: Shawna Shelton
Vaughn and husband Terry of
Victoria; Kim Shelton
