Three cars, an arrest, and no injuries
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, Fannin County sheriff’s deputies and both the Leonard
Police Department and the Leonard Volunteer Fire Department responded to an accident on FM
896 near Valley Creek. The accident, according to officers on the scene, occurred when a Leonard
man turned east on CR 4715 and turned in front of an oncoming car driven by Sheila Jefferson. An
unidentified driver of a tan Ford Contour swerved to avoid the accident and struck a nearby tree.
