Champions!
The 2005 winter basketball season proved to be very
exciting for the fourth grade Leonard Lady Tigers.
They had a winning season of 7-1, with the one loss
to Lone Oak. Last week the Lady Tigers participated
in a tournament and won their way to the final
Championship game in which again, they faced Lone
Oak. In the fourth quarter, with the score 14-15 in
Lone Oak’s favor, and with one second left to play,
the Lady Tigers threw in the ball. Shelby Zumwalt
passed to Kacie McCarley, who shot the ball and
as the buzzer rang, the ball whipped through the
net! The Lady Tiger won the tournament with the
final score 16-15. Congratulations to these girls who
have worked and played hard all season. We would T n d a ted E
to thank Kent Lashley and Teresa Rushing for allC :
