BOARD AND ROOM#
Rexall Orderlies are eaten just like
candy, are particularly prompt and
agreeable in action, may be taken at
any time, day or night; do not cause
diarrhoea, nausea, griping, excessive
looseness or other undesirable ef-
fects. They have a very mild but
positive action upon the organs with
which they come in contact, apparent-
ly acting as a regulative tonic upon
the relaxed muscular coat of the
bowel, thus overcoming weakness,
and aiding to restore the bowels to
more vigorous and healthy activity.

THE LAW OF
COMPARISONS
We consciously or unconsciously compare one thing
with another; it is the one law that controls our opinions as to
the possibility of an occurance or continuance. During the last
three years, while colonizing the Dale Ranch and settling there-
on over a hundred families, 1 have watched closely the growth
of Wichita Falls, and 1 find, In comparison, that no other town
has held up as she has, and continued to grow amid discouraging
crop prospects. The growth han been remarkable, and with her
advantages and site she has passed through that stage of
growth that there is no doubt but that within the next four
years we will have aicity of 20,000 people. So there is no bet-
ter investment than to put your money in Wichita Falls prop-
erty, and now is the time to Invest. Property in a few months
will be much higher than it is today.
I have several good bargains to offer. I also have 5 va-
cant lots and $1,000 will trade for residence property. Special
attention to property owned by nonresidents.

LEVEES CANNOT
HOLD LONGER
(Cotmud oom wen ।
By United Presn. .
Memphis, Tenn., April 6.—With a
high wind blowing from the southeast
snd heavy rains falling throughout
the flooded districts north and south
of here, with two breaks in ths
levees in this vicinity and the gauge
registering 45.1 feet tonight, govern-
ment engineers have about given up
hope of holding the remaining levees
protecting the Arkansas side from
Missouri to Louisiana.
By daylight over 150,000 acres will
be under water and 15,000 will be
homeless. President Kilough of the
Bt. Frances levee board, issued a bul-
letin at ten o’clock tonight saying the
situation is very grave. Breaks are
holding except at Golden, Ark., and
Pleasant Point, where the river rose
.3 of a foot between 6 and 8 o'clock
tonight. The towns of Fairfield,
Ark., and Wilson are Immersed.
The country districts about Fair-
field opposite Memphis have a popu-
lation of 10,000 and while the people
have been warned to flee, few have
heeded the warning.
Partially because they delayed at
home long after the railroad traffic
along the river division of the rail-
road had been suspended. The Mem-
phis Boat Club will send scout boats
all along the Arkansas flooded parts
tomorrow searching for refugees.
Reports from Tiptonville tonight
say conditions there are deplorable.
Government agents left Memphis
tonight in a boat to distribute pro-
visions and other supplies to the suf-
ferers.
Naval Reserves to Succor of Flood
Victims.
"springheld," Hi., April Trover |
nor Donoen tonight, ordered the Al-
ton Company of the Naval Reserve to
Cairo to aid the flood sufferers. The
company which is composed of 55
picked men left Alton at 11 p. m.,
under Lieut. Maxfield with several
boats and other equipment. The
reserves are all experienced river
men and performed excellent service

SAYS B0V. WILSON
By United Press.
Chicago. III., April C.—Governor
Woodrow Wilson in his semi-round
up of his Illinois campaign tonight
directed attention to the rumors of
a frame-up to defeat him for the
Democratic nomination for president,
evidently referred to an alleged
agreement between the Clark and
Harmon factions by which Harmon’s
name was not placed before the vote
ers at the Illinois primaries. The
New Jersey executive served notice
that he would take no part in any
deals or in any combination for the
purpose of attaining office.
“All sorts of rumors are floating
around and the minds of a great part
of the voters are filled with susplc
ton,” said the governor. "The people
are distrustful of the action of cer-
tain men whose names are frequent,
ly mentioned whenever polities are
discussed.
“For the past eighteen months 1
have wielded considerable influence
in New Jersey, and it was because I
have been talking right out just as I
am now. I would not consent to be
stow a political job or to make a
pledge for the sake of obtaining a
political office. My record will show
that 1 never bestowed a political of-
fice for the purpose of effecting the
enactment of a law, or for any poli-
tical advantage."
Gov. Wilson then paid his respects
to Wm. R. Hearat, whom he charged
with an exhibition of contempt for
the judgment • and independence of
the American in attempting to sup-
pose that he can frame the affairs of
a nation.

Two Breaks On Arkansas Side.
“By United Press.
Memphis, Tenn., April 6.—Two
breaks in the levees of the St.
Francis levee district occurred oppo-
site Memphis on the Arkansas side
of the Mississippi River late today
and a raging flood with a crest
20 feet thigh is sweeping across the
Arkansas lowlands and will not be
checked until the first high land.
Growlers Ridge, 40 miles away has
been reached.
The first break occurred at the
plantation of M. C. Pierce between
Holy Buss and St. Clair, Ark. The
levee here is lower than at any oth-
er point. Five hundred had been
working night and day building the
levee higher with sand bags and
earth and today when the river went
to 45.3, a third of a foot higher than
the greatest prediction, the workers
were defeated and men working on
the levee had to flee for their lives,
when the tawny flood lashed into
fury by a high south .wind began to
blow over the levee and soon the ern
bankment twelve feet wide at Its top
and 18 at its base, was cut through
by the water and la less time than
it takes to tell a cervesse 150 foot
wide had been made.
Tonight the flood had reached Ma-
tion shortly before midnight. Thous-
ands of acres of land had been in-
undated and homes swept away but
the people residing In the sparsely set-
tled district through which the flood
passed had for the most part fled to
places of safety.
