Baxter
Elizabeth R. Baxter died at
home Wednesday, Feb. 11,
1987 following a lengthy il-
lness.
Survivors include her hus-
band, Edwin G. Baxter; one
son, William R. Baxter of The
Colony; two daughters, Lynn
Maguire of Highland Park and
Lee Owens of Arlington; and
three grandchildren.

Police Calls
The Colony Police Department conducted 235 calls during the week of Feb. 9
through 16. Sixty-eight citations were issued, and 54 warnings were given. Five
disturbances were reported, and 61 house checks were conducted.
One aggravated robbery was reported. Fourteen burglaries were reported: 10
of habitation and four of vehicle. Five criminal mischiefs were reported.
Fourteen thefts occured, and seven accidents, one with minor injuries.
The department made 18 arrests: five for public intoxication; one arrest on
Carrollton Police Department traffic warrant; one arrest on an Addison Police
Department warrant; one unlawful weapon; one no seat belt; one possession of
drug paraphernalia; two for minor in possession of alcohol; one for making
alcohol available to minors; two disorderly conduct; and three various traffic of-
fenses.

Volunteer personnel. All citizens over 18 years of age are eligible
to join. The Fire Dept, needs volunteers especially during *
daytime hours when most citizens are working.
Training in firefighting and Emergency Medicine are I
provided on a weekly basis and will be geared toward individual d

dedicated group of men and women who are very serious about (
