iaryUnit will again try to furnish
hams for the Christmas Season
The Hams have been ordered now
we are anxiously waiting lor a
"yes" answer. The supply seems to
be very limited; so, get your order
in and hope that correct answer is
obtained. Call any of these num-
bers: 378- 5515: 965-1875; 965-
1194; 378-5445; or 37X-5462. Your
order will be greatly appreciated.
The Children’s Christmas at
the Post Home will be on Decem-
ber 22. You can be sure that "ole
Saint Nick" will be there with
whiskers and bells on. Further
information will be forth coming
in the very near future: so look for
it. This is one of the fine projects
this community has worked up
and should be continued for a
long time.
The Post and Auxiliary Unit
will be selecting Delegates to Boy
State and Girl State in the early
part of the New year. If your son
or daughter is a Junior in High
School please give consideration
to a trip to Austin or Seguin in
early June. This year the Post hopes
to have three Delegates to Boy
State. You can be sure the Ladies
of the Auxiliary will be hoping
and working for that many Dele-
gates to Girl State. Parents of
Junior (who will be Seniors next
year) please give this some thought.
Another event to take place in
March (the date has not been set)
is the Health Fair. This will be
the fourth Fair the Post and
Auxiliary have staged. Several

little for the people who elected

The War gave us a new Hero
in the General. This same War
gave the Nation a new look at the
operations in a "hi -tech" war and
the results. This period of 1991
gave the American People a good
look at the expensive government
they are paying. This Great Na-
tion paid honor and recognition
to those that gave the Supreme
Service in Pearl Harbor. The trag-
edy of the "hostages" in the East-
ern Mediterranean has come to
succcsful close and all Americans
are home.
But where does that leave the
thousands of MlAs and POWs?
Are there hundreds ofMIAsand
POWs left from WW II? Korea?
Now that this Great Nation has
these few safe, shouldn’t the at-
tention be turned to the ones in
the jungle slave labor camps. Those
in slave labor camps of nations we
consider "friends".
The young American from the
"back-woods and boon-docks” of
our Nation are some of the most
resourceful people on the face of
this ole globe. They are like the
old "mountain men" that covered
the west. These soldiers did not
have a great life before being
drafted into the Army and when
they were abandon they fell back
on their inner fortitude and sur
vised - they are there and you
better bet on it. The rescue of
those in the Eastern Mediterrain-
ean was long but look at the long
time those have slaved in the camps
of the gangster nations. These are
our People also.
