INDICATIVE RESULTS
Of THE PRIMARY
Incomplete Returns Give Re=
suits as Outlined Below.
Davidson Leads.
Dallas, Texas, Aug. 3.—Re-
turns from the democratic pri-
mary election account for 310,000
votes or 92 per. cent, of the total,
if the total is 325,000. It is be-
coming apparent, however, that
this number has been exceeded.
The returns are complete from
160 counties and incomplete from
54. The remaining counties have
not been heard from at all. These
are all small.
The returns from the complet-
ed counties give Davidson 133,141
and Wynne 116,894. From the
incomplete comities the returns
give Davidson 27,040 and Wynne
21,214. The grand totals are:
For Davidson 160,181 and for
Wynne 138,108, a majority of 22,-
073 for Davidson, as compared
with 18,796 as shown in the re-
turns up to yesterday morning.
The totals of the completed re-
turns for submission are 114,099,
against 103,948. The incomplete
returns for submission are 15,635
and against 23,035. The grand
totals are: For submission 129,-
734 and against 126,983. Majority
for submission 2,751 as submission
will fall anywhere from 30.000 to
40,000 votes short of a majority
of all the votes polled in the
primary.
It will be noted that the total
vote for attorney general in the
same counties was 298,289, which
shows that against 3,068, as shown
in returns yesterday morning.
The complete returns for gov-
ernor give Campbell 142,683 and
Williams 90,333. They give for
local option 77,425 and against
23.95(>.

the sands of 1-o-n-g-d-r-a-w-n-o-u-t
systems with nothing to recom-
mend them but the aggregation
of months required to complete
tbem should fall wise to the fact
that the warm spirited student
whose soul is filled with the un-
quenchable enthusiasm to enter
business life will not be content-
ed to spend two or three months
unnecessary time in completing
the theory courses when they
can get thorough, practical, and

half of the time required to learn
the old pre-historic theories.
