where he bought a place a few
weeks ago.
Miss Mamie Lisies and Miss El-
len Lisies daughter and sister of
H. R. Lisies are here from Fay-
etteville Ark., the former to
make her home and the latter on
a visit.

Jenkins, 10 miles southeast of
Aspermont on last Sunday a boy.

week visiting old friends.

a very sick child.
Mr. T. P. Bingham of Monu-
ment N. M., father of W. B.
Bingham was on the train Wed-
nesday morning, on his way to
Jayton to visit his daughter, Mrs.
R. L. Cathy, who has been sick
for several weeks.
Mr. Sorrell's child if quite sick
with typhoid fever.
H. R. Parks has returned
from a visit to his son at San An-
tonio.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith, mother
and father of Mrs. D. M. Morgan
were here from Munday this
week visiting the latter.
W. M. Pope was called to the
bed side of his father in East
Texas who is not expected to
live and he request us to say that
he will try to have his pulpit fill-
ed by someone from Stamford
until be returns.
Rev. Welch left Wednesday
evening for Ft Worth, Dallas,
Houston and Welsh, La., and will
be gone about two weeks.
Johnnie Metcalf and Matt
Brown gave a two nights show in
town this week. The caowd
was large each night. Mr.
Brown plays the violin to per-
fection and has a state-wide repu-
tation, consequently all went
out to hear him.
