with a largo attendance. A pro-

given and immediately after-
wards tlte visitors left and the
teachers took charge of their re-

Little was done in the morn-

work mapped out by the Super-
intendent. That afternoon books
were issued to the pupils, regis-
tration completed and all were
dismissed.
Tuesday morning all pupils
were btolc in school and without
any disorder or confusion, work
was taken up. The pupils are to
be praised by the superintendent

several work trains and numer-

however, if not, we think it is
high time something was doin-

Caldwell has a splendid faculty
and much will be accomplished
this year. The patrons and
others interested in it must ever
hold in mind the crowded eondi
tion of which hoMi pupils and
teachers labor under, and never
forget that the thing most needed
in our town is a new school build-
ing Three and one-half credits
were added to our affiliation last
year and three more wili lie
asked for this year. We have
begun well and I look forward to
one of the best school years Cald
