—Rhome, Text, March 2.—A small batch
of immigrants to this state from Georgia
came up on the passenger train from Ft.
Worth this morning. Between Fort
Worth and this point one of the ladies
gave partial birth to a child. On arrival
of the train a bed was procured and she
was placed on it and carried to the resi-
dence of Mr. J P. Perkins, where, after-
wards, the child was fully delivered, but
dead. The name of the family is Roman
and they landed here in a deplorable con-
dition financially, not having a cent to
procure the necessities of life and pay
the expenses incident to such cures as
the above.
