near Brownsville, between Sonor Bonaciano
Trevino, acting Mas lean consul, in Browns-
ville, and Señor Pedro Jóse Garcia, editor of
the Progresista, o£ Matamoras. At the sec-
ond fire Senor U'rcvino was mortally wound-
ed, and died the next day. Beceased was
very popular, and the Flag says hia funeral
wits the largest ever seen in Brownsyille.
The affair grew out of political discussion, arid
the parties were nearly related.
