Special Christmas cantata to
be sung by Baptist choir here
A special Christmas Cantata
will be sung by the choir of
the First Baptist Church next
Sunday evening, and the pub-
lic is invited, Rev. Joe Vernon,
pastor, announced this week.
The cantata is "The Dawn
of Redeeming Grace" by Rob-
ert Graham, and Is being pre-
sented under the direction of
Buddy Sipe, music director for
the local church.
The program will begin at
7:30 o'clock Sunday evening.
Mrs. R. J. Dillman will be
at the organ. Featured solo-
ists will be Janis Wilson and
Mrs. A. B. Talley, altos; Mrs.
Charles Lansdown and Mrs.
Last rites for
George Fritzlen
held at Higgins
Funeral services for George
W. Fritzlen of Winfield, Kan-
sas, were held in the First
Methodist Church of Higgins
Sunday afternoon. Mr. Fritz-
len died Wednesday after-
noon, December 6, following
a heart attack.
He was at one time a resi-
dent of Higgins and had
ranching interests there.
He is survived by his wife,
Dora, two sons, Captain James
Fritzlen who is serving with
the Marines in the Far East
and John Fritzlen of Winfield,
and by four grandchildren.
He was the son-in-law of
Mrs. Julia Waller, pioneer Ca-
nadian teacher.
Dr. W. L. Campbell of Pam-
pa was in Canadian on busi-
ess Thursday.

Vernon said.

bulls at the Turner Ranch
Hereford sale at Sulphur, Ok-
lahoma, this week.
The Canadian ranch bought
11 head of bulls ranging in
price to $2.100.
In a fast-moving sale, sev-
enty bulls averaged $1,238
each. Top price was $6,200 for
TR Double Return 31, a junior
yearling from the 1961 Turner
Ranch show herd.
