Troopers and local officers will
be working together to keep
traffic moving safely. "I have
asked our officers to place
special emphasis on removing
drunks and reckless drivers
from the streets and highways,"
he added.
"We will continue to work
with the news media to keep
motorists posted on unusual
traffic conditions and to advise
them where and why serious
holiday wrecks are occuring,"
Speir said.
Guests during the past week-
end in the Ben Ezzell home were
Mrs. Ezzell's sister and broth-
er-in-law, Alice and Homer Hill
of Lindon, Colorado. The Hills
also visited his brother and
sister-in-law. Howard and Sun-
ny Hill of Wheeler and Cana-
dian.
Durham school
alumni to hold
banquet 26th
Durham (Oklahoma) School
alumni will hold a banquet on
December 26 at the Durham
Community Building.
Time will be 6:30 p.m., "or
earlier if you wish to visit
more", according to Otto Man-
gold. president of the Alumni
Association.
All Alumni are invited to join
in the pot luck banquet, and to
bring covered dishes. The
Alumni Association will furnish
meat, bread and drinks,"
Mangold said.
Those from afar need not
bring food." he added, "as we
in the community will bring
enough. The invitation includes
all former students, teachers,
wives, husbands and parents."
