Faint Shadows of a Grim Colossus
Prognosticate his coming. Mental de-
pression and perturbation, a sensation of
languor by*day and unrest upon getting
up in the morning, heartburn, occasional
headaches, undue sensitiveness to slight
noises, furred tongue—these mean that
you need preventive tonic medication.
Neglect it and the hideous colossus of
disease will speedily stare you out of
countenance and wrest health from you.
Seek preventive aid from Hostetter's
Stomach Bitters, which checkmates dys-
pepsia, biliousness, rheumatism, constipa-
tion and malaria.

It was the greatest of painters,* Sir Joshua
Reynolds, who said that if you have great tal-
ents, indnstry will improve them, while if you
liave only moderate abilities industry will sup-
ply their deflcincy.
The same principle may be applied to that
Important adjunct of personal appearance the
hair. If it is plentiful and shows no special
sign of decay it may be preserved and given a
new beauty by using Louisiana Creole Hair
Restorer, the most elegant dressing for the hair
ever devised, entirely harmless, being a vege-
table compound and free from any mineral or
other injurious ingredient. Should, however,
the hair be weak, have lost its color, baldness
sot in, or the scalp show any sign of disease,
Louisiana Creolo Hair Restorer will perform
a function that no other preparation can with
the saine certainty and promptitude. It will
restore the color and cause the hair to grow.
One bottle of it will do inoro than a gross of
the nostrums that flood the market. Try it and
be convinced. If your druggist is without it,
send to the Maustteld Drug Co., Memphis,

• Joint Call.
To All Whom It May Concern:
The undersigned joint conference com-
mittee, of the' organizations in Texas
known as Jeffersonian Democrats and the
People's Party Clubs, by authority vested
in us by the state central committees of
each organization, do hereby call upon
all who indorse the principles set forth
by the Industrial Labor Conference held
at St. Louis, Mo., on Feb. 22-24, 1892,
and the declarations made by the Dallas
Conference, Feb. 10, 1892, and who be-
lieve that the time has come for inde-
pendent political action in Texas, to as-
semble at their respective voting places
on the 4th day of June, 1892, at 1 p. m.,
for the purpose of electing delegates to
their respective county conventions, to be
held on the 11th day of June, at 10 o'clock
a. m., at their respective couuty seats.
The basis of representation to be one
delegate for every ten votes cast at such
boxes at the last state election; and that
such county conventions do elect one
delegate for each 300 of the total vote Or
majority fraction thereof cast at the last
state election—provided that each organ-
ized county shall be allowed one delegate
—to attend a state convention at Dallas,
Texas, on the 23d day of June, 1892, at
10 o'clock a. m., for the purpose of ef-
fecting a permanent state organization,
and for nominating candidates for all
state officers; also, to elect fifteen presi-
dential electors, two from the state at
large and one from each congressional
district; also, to elect delegates to the
national nominating convention to be
held at Omaha, Neb., on July 4, 1892;
also, to transact all other business that
may be deemed advisable by the state
convention.
All men who inderse these principles
referred to above, without regard to their
previous party affiliations, are cordially
invited to unite in securing the attend-
ance of every qualified voter or reformer
of whatever organization or branch of
reformers at these precinct meetings and
participate in perfecting permanent or-
ganization.
Each county convention is recom-
mended to elect a permanent county
chairman to serve for two years, also one
chairman for each voting place. Said
county and precinct chairmen to consti-
tute the executive committee for each
county, and to have charge of the cam-
paign in each county.
We recommend that said county con-
ventions elect a like number of delegates
to attend their respective congressional
nominating conventions when the same
may be called.
We recommend that said county con-
ventions elect a like number of delegates
to attend conventions to nominate state
senators, representatives and floaters and
such other district officers as may be
deemed proper by the people to be nomi-
nated. J. L. Harle,
