We had an advertisement last
week of a girl, wanting.work, we
had a telephone call from Wei
mar wanting the girl, one party
in San Antonio wanted the girl,
one party on Flatonia route
wanted herL several local peopl9
also wanted her. Any girl who
wants to do general housework
can get plenty of jobs now by
putting an adv. in the Sticker.
Advertising pays and always did
especially so if inserted in this
paper. One farmer a short time
ago advertised pigs, he stated
that he sold out before he had
gotten his copy of the paper,
other people saw the adv. and
hurried out. He had dozens of
callers but they were too late
as the pigs were all sold
Another farmer some time ago
had some hay to sell, he said
cars came there by the dozens
but he only had enough for one
man. Advertise your goods in
the Sticker, the peoples paper.

CONSUME MUCH MILK
IN COFFEE AND TEA
Court was held here Thursday,
several cases were to come up,
the first case on the docket was
the State vs. Mrs. Pitschke, the
charge was reported to be an
assault on Mrs. Kubala.
A number of witnesses were
heard on each side, some claim-
ing that Mrs. Pitschke had
cursed and beat Mrs. Kubala,
others that Mrs. Kubala started
it by hitting Mrs. Pitschke first.
The jury was out about 30 min*
utesand then rendered a verdict
of not guilty.
The next case was transfered
to County cpurt, this was one in
which some negroes charged
some others with stealing some
parts from their car.

There are 3,000,000 coffee cqws and
750,000 tea cows in the United States,
according to dairy statisticians. That
is to say, the quantity of milk and
cream used in tea and coffee in the
United States is equivalent to the pro-
duction from that many cows.
Coffee consumption is around one
billion pounds annually, or approxi-
mately forty billion cups. This re-
quires forty billion ounces of cream,
the milk equivalent of which Is twelve
and a half billion pounds, or practi-
cally one-eiffhth the total production
of milk In the United States.
Consumption of tea in the United
States is practically eighty-five million
pounds, or apprcpdmately twenty-one
billion cups. The quantity of cream
used in tea averages only one-half that
in coffee, or one-half ounce per cup,
or a total In terms of milk of more
than a billion pounds.
The survey also brings out the fact
that 800,000,000 pounds of sugar a
year, or one-tenth of the sugar con-
sumed for ail purposes in the United
States, is used in coffee and tea.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keuper
moved into their new modern
home here Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Glass and
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Morow
of Houston returned Saturday
from a two weeks visit with rela-
tives and friends at Richland
Springs, San Saba and other
points.
Mrs. L. Bollmeyer of N La
Grange was here visiting Dr.
and Mrs. W. O. Leudemann.

Air Accidents Few
A total of more than 10,000 alr>
plane flights from Clover field in
twelve months resulted in only three
accidents, according to the reports,
and from this the argument is ad-
vanced that flying is safer than auto-
mobile riding, says an Associated
Press dispatch from Santa Monica,
California.
The reckless aviator and the stunt
flyer are said to be responsible ioij
the prevailing delusions about the dan-
ger of flying.
Treea on Roadside
In the ^4datty of some cities and
towns in Oregon systematic efforts in
tree planting have been Inaugurated
along the highways, says Nature Mag-
azine. A good example of this is
near The Dalles, where the Kiwanis
club has planted about two miles of
tregs. Inst annroaching Ihe glty.
Of Course She Will
Enjoy It
Why stop to ask her if she would like an Ice Cream
Soda or one of our many wonderful soft drinks? Of
course she does, and furthermore she will credit
your good judgment in bringing her where such de-
licious drinks are served in the way we know so
well how to serve them. *

Meyerhoffs prices are always a little cheaper than any one else's. We give you the name of all the Ginghams so you will
be able to compare prises. Another thing that Meyerhoffs want to impress upon your mind and that is:
Patronize the merchants that are here to stay and the merchants that help build your town, the merchants that help you
when you are in need. We want you to know that there is no store in Lavaca or surrounding county that carries the stock
that the Meyerhoffs Dry Goods Co., carries. We will-guarantee that we will undersell any one in this or surrounding county,
and we have the largest stock to select from. Patronize the stores that are here to stay, the stores that help you when in need
the stores that help our city.
