SENATE BILL NO. 122 ON
SECOND READING
The Chair laid before the House
on its second reading and passage to
third reading,
S. B. No. 122, A bill to be entitled
An Act amending Article 342-104 of
the Texas Banking Code of 1943 same
being Acts of the 48th Legislature,Chapter 97, by changing the qualifica-
tions of certain members of the Fi-
nance Commission; and declaring an
emergency.
The bill was read second time.
Mr. Pickens offered the following
committee amendment to the bill:
Committee Amendment No. 1
Amend Senate Bill No. 122 by de-
leting therefrom the following lang-
uage in the 56th line of page 2 of
such bill: "and neither may be an
officer or director of a Federal Home
Loan Bank or a Savings and Loan
Trade Organization.", and by placing
a period after the word ($20,000,000)
immediately preceding such deletion.
The committee amendment was
adopted without objection.
S. B. No. 122 was passed to third
reading.

THIRD READING
Mr. Scoggins of Nueces moved that
the constitutional rule requiring bills
to be read on three several days be
suspended and that Senate Bill No.
122 be placed on its third reading and
final passage.
