THURSDAY, JANUARY 17,1974 THE RIO GRANDE HERALD PAGE 2
Last week when I wrote about the lists which many of us make to
help us live and work more efficiently and happily, I mentioned a
list of meaningful things to remember. This should properly be
followed up with a list of things to forget. Many times, being able to
forget instead of remember certain things can make a big dif-
ference in our lives. Forget the slander you have heard. Forget the
hasty, unkind word; forget the quarrel and the cause, forget the
whole event, because forgetting is the only way. Forget the chap
whose sour face forgets to smile in any place. Forget you're not a
millionaire, forget the gray streaks in your hair. Forget the coffee
when it's cold, forget to kick, forget to scold, forget the plumber's
awful charge, forget the grocery bill is large; forget your enemy
and his ways, forget the winter's blustery days.

less foreign, not especially
exotic, and vastly en-

small island are modern with
bathrooms and electricity.
There are public schools, a

malaria.

The island was a British colony
