Photography recommended for leisure
Frances Ramirez recommended nature photography as a fulfilling pastime during her program entitled "Enjoying
Your Leisure" at a recent meeting of Texas Laureate Zcta Thcta of Beta Sigma Phi held in the home of Elda
Perez. She showed some of the beautiful nature photographs she and her husband. Rod, have taken at home and
on their travels, and she suggested tips for successful outdoor photos, such as studying what the wildlife enjoy
eating and the surroundings they enjoy. "Plant native trees to attract them, camouflage yourself, and wait
patiently for a good shot," she added. Pictured l-r are Mrs. Ramirez, President Vangic Anderson, and Mrs. Perez.
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
■
On behalf of the officers and staff
of Texas State Bank-Rio Grande
City, I am writing this letter to the
Rio Grande Herald to express our
STRONG SUPPORT for the
continued incorporation of Rio
Grande City and the efforts of our
city administration.
Texas Slate Bank clearly
recognizes the importance of Rio
Grande Cily being an incorporated
municipality. In our view, it is
essential that Rio Grande City be
incorporated to ensure planned
growth and sound economic
development. As a responsible
business, Texas Slate Bank wishes
to actively participate in the growth
and economic de\«lopment of Rio
Grande City .
We realize that the success of any
businesses within our community
is contingent upon infrastructure
development, training of personnel
and ongoing economic growth. The
stability of self-governance with
strategic planning will create the
economic environment needed to
have additional jobs in our
community. Furthermore, it is only
through well organized planning
efforts and the recruitment of new
business and industry into Rio
Grande City that we can achieve
these goals.
We wish our city officials and
administration continued support on
this important endeavor.
Sincerely,
Larry C. Gonzalez
Executive Vice President.
