Wind Security Meeting
A meeting on Homeland Security criti-
cal infrastructure on wind energy secu-
rity and protection will take place at
1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010,
at the Sweetwater-Nolan County Health
Department.
Woman's Forum
The Sweetwater Woman's Forum will
meet at noon on Tuesday, March 30, at
Bee's Decor, located at 311 Oak Street.

The Nolan County Coliseum Board will

Wednesday Night Scrambles
Lake Sweetwater Golf Course will kick
off its Wednesday Night Scrambles on
Wednesday, March 31. Persons must sign
up for the weekly scrambles no later than
5:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Scrambles
will tee off at 6 p.m. There will be a pot-
luck supper afterward, so bring a dish of
your choice. The scrambles will have an
A-B-C-D format. For more information,

Adult Iiteracy/ESL
The Adult Literacy/ESL class will meet
at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31,2010,
at the County-City Library. Instructors
w ill help you learn to read, improve your
reading skills, improve your English skills
or help you read to your children. Call

Story Hour
Story Hour for parents and their
children will be held at 10:45 a.m. on
Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the County-
City Library. Dee Ann Mulanax will lead

Easter Egg Hunt
Nolan Nursing and Rehab, located
at 1901 Lamar, is sponsoring an Easter
egg hunt in the courtyard of the facility
at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 2. Those
attending are asked to bring one dozen
eggs by 3 p.m. for each child you bring.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Sweetwater High School Spanish
Club will be hosting a free Easter egg
hunt for children walking age through
fifth grade at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April
3, at Newman Park. $1 raffle tickets will
be sold for an Easter basket filled with
goodies.
Tuesday, April 6
Let's Talk Books
Let's Talk Books, the book club of the
County-City Library, will meet at noon on
Tuesday, April 6, in the meeting room of
the library. The book selection is "The Old
Man and the Sea," by Ernest Hemingway.
Sack lunches will be provided for the first

TOPS Meetings
TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly)
of Sweetwater will have meetings at
the First United Methodist Church on
Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesdays,
weigh-ins are at 5:15 p.m. and meetings
are at 5:45 p.m. On Thursdays, weigh-
ins are at 6:30 p.m. and meetings are at
7 p.m.
March Art Exhibit
March is Youth Art Month and that
means the County City Library's Artist
of the Month is the Sweetwater High
School art students. All throughout the
month of March the Sweetwater High
School art students will have their work
exhibited at the library. The library is
open on Mondays from 1-6 p.m.; Tuesday
through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Thursday Night Scrambles
Sweetwater Country Club will begin
having Thursday Night Scrambles on
Thursday, March 25. Persons need to
register for the scrambles no later than
5:15 p.m. each Thursday. The scrambles
will nave a 6 p.m. shotgun start. There
will be a charge for non-members. The
weekly scrambles will have an A-B-C-D
format and continue through the sum-
mer. For more information, call (325)

Girl Scout Memorabilia Sought
Girl Scout memorabilia is being sought
for a display at the Pioneer Museum.
Organizers are looking for books, uni-
forms and any other items pertaining to
Girl Scouts. Those with items can take
them to the Pioneer Museum from 1-5
p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Those that
would like their items returned need to
put their name and contact information
on the item. Items need to be taken to
the museum by Tuesday, March 30.
Library Accepting Donations
The County-City Library is currentl
accepting donations for the annual boo
sale which will be held Friday, April 16
through Saturday April 17, 2010, at the
Nolan County Coliseum Annex. Go to
the garage door in the alley behind the
library to unload the donations during
business hours. Call 235-4978 a few
minutes before arriving at the library
to enable staff to be ready to help. The
library hours are Monday from 1-6 p.m.;
Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to
5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1
p.m.
Alzheimer's Memory Walk
The Alzheimer's Memory Walk at the
Abilene Zoo helps increase awareness
and raise money to find a cure. Walk
organizers are currently recruiting team
members and accepting contributions.
The Memory Walk will be on Sept. 25,
2010. Call for additional information:

Harbuck Account
An account has been set up at Roscoe
State Bank for those wanting to help out
Ruth and Dwayne Harbuck with medical
expenses that are being incurred from
double bypass surgery. Donations can
be made to the account number 693235,
at Roscoe State Bank or at Sweetwater
Regional Federal Credit Union in the
name of Ruth and Dwayne Harbuck.
