Cowboy Church
The Way Cowboy Church invited the
public to come to a service at 10:30 a.m.,
followed by lunch and a horsemanship
clinic given by Eddy Roby. For more infor-

Greater Zion Anniversary
Greater Zion Baptist Church, organized
in December 1910, will be celebrating 100
years of praise Sunday, Dec. 12, during
their services, with 3 p.m. as the highlight
of the sendees. Six area congregations will
share in the religious celebration. William
Jackson has lead the congregation for
31 years. Greater Zion is located on the
corner of Tom Green and Avenue B in
Sweetwater.
Monday, Dec. 13
Basketball Signups
The Mustang Youth Basketball League
will hold their annual sign up from 5:30-7
p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13 and Tuesday,
Dec. 14, at the new East Ridge Elementary
School library building. Students who are
currently in the third through sixth grades
are eligible to participate. A child who
is 11 years old before April 1, 2011, must
play in Division II. A child who is 13 years
old before April 1, 2011, is not eligible to
participate. Parents should bring their
child's birth certificate and registration fee
of $30 as well as complete a registration/
permission form. No late registrations
will be accepted. League play will begin
in January 2011. For more information,

Blowout Meeting
An organizational meeting for Blowout
2011 will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Monday,
Dec. 13, in the cafeteria at East Ridge
Elementary School. All high school par-
ents are encouraged to attend. For more

Tuesday, Dec. 14
Masons
Sweetwater Masonic Lodge #571 will
have a stated meeting on Tuesday, Dec.
14. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a
meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Members
are urged to attend.
Wednesday, Dec. 15
Flu Clinic
The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health
Department will continue to administer the
flu vaccine on Wednesdays during regular
immunization clinic. Their next immuni-
zation clinic will be held Wednesday, Dec.
15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30
p.m. Cost is $20 for adults, $6 for children
6 months through 18 years). They accept
Medicare Part B and Medicaid and CHIPS
for children only.
Adult Literacy/ESL
The Adult Literacy/ESL class will meet
at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the
County-City Library. Instructors will help
you learn to read, improve your reading
skills, improve your English skills or help
you read to your children. Call 235-4978

Stoiy Hour
Story Hour at the County-City Library
for parents and their children will be
held at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16.

Friday, Dec. 17
Chamber/SEED Open House
The public is invited to attend a holi-
day open house hosted jointly by the
Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce and
the Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic
Development (SEED) from 10:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at the
Chamber building, located at 810 E.
Broadway.
Saturday, Dec. 18
Roscoe Christmas Parade
Roscoe will have its Christmas parade
at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, in
Downtown Roscoe. This year's parade is
dedicated to all military personnel. Line
up will be at 10:30 a.m. Those who would
like to enter a float or be in the parade
are asked to just show up, no registration
required. This year there will be a special
section for Jeeps because they have played
a big role with the military for many years.

Sunday, Dec. 19
Living Christmas in Nolan
Nolan Baptist Church invites the com-
munity to join them as they remember
the true spirit of Christmas at the Nolan-
Divide Community Center. Real people
from the community will portray Joseph
and Mary, the angel Gabriel, the shepherds
in the fields, King Herod on his throne and
the Three Wise Men following the star.
There will be live music featuring some
traditional Christmas Carols. Please enter
the Community Center on the west side
through the cafeteria doors. Supper will
be served in the cafeteria while waiting for
tours to begin. The event will take place on
Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, with tours running
between 6-8:30 p.m. It will be held at the
Nolan-Divide Community Center, located
at 1742 FM 126 in Nolan, TX. They will be
serving soup, sandwiches, chips, desserts,
hot cocoa and coffee. Everything is free of
