Then you'll love sudoku. This miiid-bend-
iiig puzzle will have you hooked from the
moment you square off, so sharpen your
pencil and put your sudoku savvy to the
test!
Here's How It Works:
Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9
grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes.
To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through
9 must fill each row, column and box.
Each number can appear only once in
each row, column and box. You can fig-
ure out the order in which the numbers
will appear by using the numeric clues
already provided in the boxes. The more
numbers you name, the easier it gets to
solve the puzzle!

Horoscopes By Holi day
FOR FRIDAY,
OCTOBER 7, 2011
Have you ever seen roll-on
butter? It looks a little like a
glue stick you glide over your
toast. The reason it comes to
mind is that if you happen
to have an inventive bone
in your body, the Aquarius
moon rattles it ever so gen-
tly today. Don't be surprised
if you come up with ideas
that are wonderfully wacky
and possibly quite useful.
ARIES (March 21-April
19). You will prefer to run
the show. You would have
made a gifted producer or
director, and though today's
task will not be an entertain-
ment vehicle for the masses,
it still will be a masterpiece.
TAURUS (April 20-May
20). You're a romantic at
heart and have an idealism
in matters of love that belies
the down-to-earth pragma-
tism you display regard-
ing almost everything else.
You'll be won over by a dewy
show of affection.
GEMINI (May 21-June
21). You are full of ideas,
hardly a practical one in
the bunch. That's what will
make you so mysterious
and attractive, especially to
people who are a little dry
in the creativity department
these days.
CANCER (June 22-July
22). You are protective and
nurturing, and you'll thrive
when you know it's up to
you to take care of loved
ones. Could they, in all actu-
ality, care for themselves?
Maybe so. But just for now,
it's nicer for both of you
when you take over.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You'll have a laid-back atti-
tude, letting relationships
and business opportuni-
ties come to you instead of
seeking them out. Because
you're not trying too hard,
others will assume you
already have what you need
and want.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept.
22). Those around you may
view you as lucky. Actually,
what they see is not luck, but
a purposeful and practical
sequence of the setting and
acquisition of your goals.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct.
23). Your excellent sense of
timing puts your audience
in the palm of your hand.
Though it probably will be
a rather small audience —
fewer than three people for
most of the day — you'll be
a hit.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov.
21). Though you are a bit
cautious when it comes to
new adventures, you will
get involved in one and the
results are beyond brilliant.
Your surprise will equal
your delight.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov.
22-Dec. 21). You relate
everyday matters to large-
scale philosophical and
political issues, and some-
how this doesn't come off as
heavy handed at all. You'll
be light and lively as you
inspire and educate others.
CAPRICORN (Dec.
22-Jan. 19). Your hunches
will be either ridiculously
off target or eerily correct.
Either way, if you follow
them, the day's whimsy will
be high entertainment for
you and your loved ones.
AQUARIUS (Jan.
20-Feb. 18). No one can
convince you to move at a
pace other than the rhythm
of your own heart. You'll
make a personal commit-
ment when you're good and
ready to do so, or not at all.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March
20). You'll be full of both
questions and answers.
Once you form an opin-
ion, though, you'll convince
yourself of it so thoroughly
that it will only be one more
step to convince someone
GlS6.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
(Oct. 7). You have an instant
rapport with people this
month. You'll quickly bond
with a group that hangs on
your every word and gesture.
And though it will be fun to
be a star, you'll also enjoy
the escape to a new locale
that conies in December.
Family additions happen
in May; There's a competi-
tion in June, and you'll take
home a prize. Capricorn and
Aquarius people adore you.
Your lucky numbers are: 4,
14, 2, 21 and 7.
WEEKEND LOVE
FORECAST:
ARIES: A relationship
lasts longer because you
know where to draw the
lines of personal boundar-
ies.
TAURUS: There's a per-
son who is serious about
wanting a commitment
from you. But will this per-
son offer the same level of
commitment in return?
GEMINI: You tell your-
self that you won't get
involved with a complicated
situation, but you may find
it irresistible.
CANCER: You'll have
your finger on the pulse of
life, and it's a highly attrac-
tive quality.
LEO: You'll learn what
someone really wants and
decide whether or not you
can give it.
VIRGO: You'll fall into a
comfortable and romantic
habit.
LIBRA: You'll radiate
confidence when you believe
that you are perfectly made
— you truly are.
SCORPIO: You wel-
come transition — the end
of one era is the beginning
of another.
SAGITTARIUS: You
will appreciate a person for
who he or she is, not just
what that person can do for
you.
CAPRICORN: You'll
become closer to someone
because you ask good ques-
tions.
AQUARIUS: Taking care
of another person brings
you great pleasure.
PISCES: Because you're
somewhat unobtainable,
you'll drive someone crazy
with wanting your love.
COUPLE OF THE
WEEKEND: Aquarius and
Libra are air signs that speak
the same language — the
language of poetry, art and
aesthetic elegance. Their
commonalities are high-
lighted today, as are many
shared delights. Tomorrow,
it will be their differences
that add spice and excite-
ment to their ties. This
relationship relies on the
challenging bits as roman-
tic bonding agents; other-
wise, they coi d stay in the
"friend zone" indefinitely.
