sent for two years to labor for the

15th Amendments fined $100 for
aggravated J assault. One, white,
plead.guilty tojsimple ussault.

—Judge James Andreas, the oldest
citizen of ourJtown,,died suddenly
ut his plantation, five miles? Irom
town. By mistake.took strychnine

hour,afUTward. lie was u good,
true, faithful and honest man. Had
boen Probate Judge of otir county,
and during the war represented this
District in the ^tate Senate. We
was 67 years of Age.
