Zinc Paints.
THE NEW-JERSEY ZINC COMPANY are now
manufacturing these Paints, of superior quali-
ty. Their advantages of other Paints are:
1st. They are not poisonous Sleeping apart-
ments, recently painted, may be occupied with im-
punity, and painters using these paints are not sub-
ject to the distressing maladies arising from the use
of lead.
2d. Their beauty and durability. Zinc, on in-
side work, becomes much harder than any other
paints, and is not easily soiled ; is whiter than pure
white lead, and a3 it retains its whiteness and bril-
liancy unaffected by bilge water, coal, or sulphurous
gases, it is unrivalled as a paint for ships and steam-
* oats. For outside use, exposed to weather or water,
Zinc Paints will retain their color and preserving
qualities long after other paints are destroyed.
3d. The White Zinc Paints will cover (equal
weights) about two thirds more surface than pure
laed—this, in connection with their greater durabil-
ity, makes in the long run the cost of painting with
Zinc less than half the cost of lead.
Brown and Brown Stone Color Zinc Paints, which
are sold at low prices, are well adapted for painting
roofs, out-buildings, and all metallic surfaces, par-
ticularly iron, which they effectually protect from
rusting, exposed to either heat or weather. These
Paints are prepared in the same manner, and may
be used in all respects like Whi te Lead. They are
for sale by many of the principal dealersi n the cities
and larget owns of the Union, and by the Company's
Agents, Marking & Sqcier,

SCREW WORM BLOW FLY
LOrDEN It CO.'S CHEROKEE LINIMENT, the
original discovery, and the only reliable arti-
cle for the immediate destruction of the Screw
Worm and Blow Fly.
This Liniment has now been before the citizens
of Texas for over three years, and has been tho
roughly tested as a positive and speedy extermi-
nator of those destructive vermin.
Louden & Co. justly claim the discovery of this
great remedy, and until the present j*ear, no other
Liniment was offered or known for the relief of the
Graziers of Texas; but now. the unprecedented
popularity of our Cherokee Liniment, has induced
—for the pecuniary reward—the proprietors of the
various imitations afloat, the palm off their worth-
less articles upon the unsuspecting, without regard
to justice, or any known merit in the nostrum offer-
ed.
We call upon all interested to
BE WARE of all other LIXIMEXTS
claiming to destroy the Screw Worm, and prevent
the attack of the Blow Fly; as they ore all mere
imitations, covertly to trifle with the credulity of
the people.
As designing persons have imitated our Liniment
they will doubtless try to imitate our original Show
Bill and Bullock, the better to cover their decep-
tion. We refer tothefoilowing well known gentle
men in Texas—many others might be named—who
will vouch for the signal ellicacy of our Liniment,

ALL PERSONS who desire to obtain a full and
reliable information respecting SINGER'S
8EWINO MACHINES, their price, capabilities,
advantages, sizes, improvements, method of work-
ing, means of procuring them, and all other par-
ticulars. can do so bv applying at our office
No. 323 BROADWAY, NEW YORK,
by letter or in person for
I. M. SINGER <5 CO S GAZETTE.
This paper is devoted entirely to the Sewing 31a-
chine interest. Copies will be supplied gratis to all
interested.
N.B.—The unparalleled success of our dewing
Machines has induced several fraudulent imitations
of them, besides numerous infringements of our pi-
tents, of which we own sixteen. Suits for the in-
fringement of our patents have recently been deci-
ded in our favor in the U. S. Circuit Courts in New
York and New Jersey. In these suits the great
principle of
Holding down the Fabric to be Sewed to the Sur-
face of the Machine by a yielding pressure,
which is used in all sewing machines, has been fully
established. The Wheeler 6l Wilson, and the Gro-
ver & Baker Sewing Machines, as we allege, each
infringe three distict patents owned by us. We have
suits against them in several of the U. S. Courts,
which will soon be tried. We hereby caution the
public not to buy any infringing machines, as they
can be compelled by law to stop using them, and to
pay costs and damages.
N. B.—Local Agents wante J to make sales of our
improved sewing machines. To persons properly
qualified for the business, a rare opportunity for
profitable and pleasant employment is offered.
New and improved machines exchanged on liberal
terms for old machines of every kind.

This preparation has now bornethetest of orer
fourteen years experience, since its first introduc-
ion to public favor, daring which time numerous
notations have sprung into existence founding
heir claims to the confluence of the commnnitv in
the curative po wers contained in Sarsttparilla Root*
the great reputation and extended use of which has
been mainly attributable to the many wonderful
cures effected by the nse of this prejoration. While
Sarsaparilia Root forms an important part of its
combination, it is, at tbe same time, compounded
with other vegetable remedies of great power, and
it is in the peculiar combination and scientific man*
ner of its preparation, that its remarkable success
in the cure of disease depends. Other preparations
imitate it in the style of putting np, and in bearing
the name of one of its ingredients, and here ends
their resemblance to it. Those needing a remedy
and purifier like this, are requested to note where
this difference exists, and in making choice ofwlmX
they will nse, not to take any other but that one en-
titled to theu^confidence, from the long list of cures
it has effiee;fi«lo3!.!iving witnesses. whose testimonials
and residencesliave been published, and who are
still bearing' testimony to its worth.

Siwns.
Gentlemen—My little daughter was afflicted for
a long time with a Sore head and Eyes, aud by using
your Sarsapalilla, was perfectly cured, other med-
icines and Sarsaparilias having failed to relieve her.
Having used it and tested its efficacy, I now conf
dently recommend it in preferance to any other • t-
paration; aud I find that purchasers after they ^re
used it, invariably want the same article .gain,
whenever they require a medicine for whieh this 'if
recommended.
Respectfutly yours, J FLINT, .HD.
